Times reports: “Iraq War Ends”

12times-480Yesterday, professional pranksters The Yes Men handed out thousands of fake issues of The New York Times in New York, Chicago, and other major cities with a bold headline that read “Iraq War Ends.” It’s dated July 4, 2009, and has real versimilitude.

I received a copy via email, and could barely believe my eyes. Other headlines in the utopian issue included “Court Indicts Bush on High Treason Charge” and my favorite: “Nation Sets its Sights on a Sane Economy.”

Ah, if only.
