Social justice, arts and politics, life in New York City

A little bit of Obama optimism (just a little bit)

I’ve been hesitant to jinx Obama all day, hedging my bets, saying he’s got a really, really good chance at this thing. If all turns out like it should–and as the politicos and pollsters predict it should–we should all be breaking out the champagne glasses. Above, a bit of melody and music with an all-star cast, featuring will.i.am from the Black-Eyed Peas–and leading a cool little video thing where they mash up Obama’s words with their lyrics and music. Also included are Jesse Dylan, Common, Scarlett Johansson, Tatyana Ali, John Legend, Herbie Hancock, Kate Walsh, Kareem Abdul Jabbar, Adam Rodriquez, Kelly Hu, Amber Valetta, Eric Balfour, Aisha Tyler, Nicole Scherzinger and Nick Cannon.
